Trafford Council’s Labour leader announced his Executive Members during the authority’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday.

Cllr Tom Ross made no changes to his senior team meaning members will continue with their roles and responsibilities.

However, there was one minor alteration to Cllr Jane Slater’s portfolio title, from Executive Member for Health and Care to Healthy and Independent Lives.

Cllr Ross said: “There are several key workstreams in place at present that would benefit hugely from leadership continuity.

“The Executive holds responsibility for the delivery of our key priorities from ensuring we continue to give children and young people the best start to building a thriving economy and homes for the future.

“The Executive worked extremely well as a team during 2023/24, each member brings an element of outside expertise as well as existing experience.

“I am very grateful to be able to work alongside them.”

Trafford Council’s Executive has been confirmed as:

  • Cllr Cath Hynes remains as Deputy Leader and continues to hold responsibility for Leisure, Arts, Culture and Heritage.
  • Cllr Karina Carter continues to hold responsibility for Children and Young People.
