Hello, I'm James Wright. I have been selected for Bucklow St. Martins ward as your Labour Party candidate.
I will be standing for Labour in the May 2016 Trafford Council elections. These are important elections, as they give residents of Partington, Carrington and part of Sale a voice on Trafford Council.
Residents want a strong Ambassador for Bucklow St. Martins, and with your support, I will work hard to achieve that. We can achieve so much if we work together – so I will be working closely with Kate Green M.P., Labour Councillors John Smith and Karina Carter, Partington Parish Council, Businesses, Community Groups and residents across the ward on the issues that matter to you.
I live in Trafford with my wife and daughter and I'm passionate about improving our borough for the benefit of the people living here.I work for a large housing association in the north - west, and my specialism is welfare rights.
I have campaigned over many years, recently standing as the Parliamentary candidate for Altrincham and Sale West. I have seen first - hand the damage the Conservatives, both in Government and on Trafford Council, have had on the residents of Bucklow St. Martins. Their collusion with the Lib Dems nationally and locally has enabled them to bring in austerity policies and cuts that have damaged our communities, and reduced support to our most vulnerable neighbours and our young people.
The disgraceful bedroom tax and lack of homes to deal with a real housing shortage in the ward should not be tolerated. Labour can make a difference.
Bucklow St. Martins ward is a great place – but I believe with your help, we can make it even better. So please, make sure you are registered to vote by contacting Trafford Council Elections Office on 912 4259.
And Vote for James Wright, Labour Candidate, on 5 May 2016.
