I am extremely proud to have been selected as the Labour candidate for Davyhulme East Ward in the 2016 local council elections.
I have lived in Trafford all my life, and in Davyhulme for over thirty years, I know the area, the people who live in it and the issues that affect them most.
I live in Davyhulme with my husband and three children and look after my 11 year old son who has autism. Home life is busy, as all parents know, but my past career was as a practicing midwife.
As someone who spent several years delivering babies at Trafford General Hospital, I definitely feel a strong connection to the area!
For over five years, I have been an active member of the Breathe Clean Air Group, working hard to fight against the plans to build an incinerator in Davyhulme, and campaigning for better air quality in our area. I feel passionate about this issue, and see it as a priority for our community and all our local residents.
I am also the founder of ‘High Functioning Trafford’, a support network for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
I am thoroughly committed to helping, and working together with, the residents of Davyhulme East, to get the best possible service from our local Council, Trafford.
If I am elected on 5 May 2016 as your local Councillor, I will work hard to serve residents for the next four years, and ensure Davyhulme East continues to be a great place to live.
