I have represented Longford Ward as a Trafford Councillor since 1998, and am honoured to be standing again in May 2016 as your local Labour Candidate.
I have lived in Trafford for over 40 years, and have a strong commitment to the people and communities I serve. I am Governor of two schools in the local area, and also a Trustee of Trafford Domestic Abuse Services.
I have had a long standing interest in health and well- being. Currently I chair the Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Health Committee and I am also Shadow Lead Member for Integration of Health & Social Care.
As your local Labour Councillors, we have worked hard to make a difference to the ward and its’ environment. I have worked with Trafford Council in trying to improve parking issues in the Ward, as well as the continuing problem of rubbish in the streets.
As Chair of Scrutiny we have had to deal with Stretford Memorial Hospital closing. We lobbied the Central Manchester Hospitals’ Foundation Trust to say they had to provide phlebotomy services in the community, and will continue to do so.
Thank you for your support over the years. Do not hesitate to get in touch if there is anything that I can do for you, as your local Labour Councillor. All my contact details can be found at www.trafford.gov.uk
