I'm delighted to be the Labour candidate for Brooklands Ward for the May 2016 elections.
I've lived in Trafford most of my life and I now live in Sale, with my husband and two young children. I am a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at Salford Royal Hospital - but Wythenshawe is my local hospital - the hospital that my children were born in and my family have all been treated in.
We must fight to keep acute surgery at Wythenshawe otherwise this will be the beginning of the end for our fantastic hospital. I've worked as a doctor for over ten years in Greater Manchester and I understand the local hospital politics and healthcare - I will campaign tirelessly to save our hospital.
The traffic around our schools is dangerous and is putting our children at risk. We need to protect our school crossing patrols from Tory budget cuts - saving the Tyntesfield Primary crossing patrol was a brilliant achievement from a group of local parents and Labour campaigners.
The proposed council budget cuts imposed by the Tories are disproportionately affecting young families and the vulnerable - I'll campaign to keep our great local services and ensure that Trafford residents are not put at risk by these relentless cuts.
I hope you can join with me in protecting those services we need, to ensure a good quality of life for all our residents.
Please vote Labour in the Trafford Council elections on 5 May 2016.
